Review: Carissa Rose

My Dear Friends,

I know that there are many of you out there who don't like to wear button up shirts because of what I like to call "The Gaping Hole Factor" - meaning that there's a spot, right in the bust area that usually leaves a gaping hole because the material is too tight across the chest.  I've shied away from button up shirts for years because of this problem, but no more!  Not since I discovered Carissa Rose.

The clothing designs at Carissa Rose are designed to flatter a larger bust line, making it easier for chesty women to have well fitting clothes. With two fits to choose from (Well Endowed or "WE" or Really Endowed or "RE"), you take the guesswork out of finding the best fit.  Carissa Rose shirts are designed with extra bust room to prevent gaping along blouse buttons.

I was fortunate enough to get to review two lovely button up shirts.  The first is the Vanessa Banker Blouse, which shows off the semi-fitted silhouette nicely. There is a remarkable attention to detail and an excellent fabric quality.  The shirt itself features French blue vertical stripes with white contrast cuffs & collar.  The hidden front zipper and shapely cut make for a very comfortable fit.  The material is cotton/lycra.  This blouse retails for $120.

The second shirt I tried was the Quintana Tuxedo Shirt, which is a relaxed tailored fit.  It features a tonal stripe front panel and cocktail style cuffs.  It has a hidden hook-and-eye front entry and is made of cotton/polyester/cotton poplin/spandex sateen.  This blouse retails for $125.
