Bedroom Furniture Shopping

My Dear Friends,

I keep saying that I need to get a new bed frame, but frankly, I've been kind of lazy about actually GETTING one.  It's just that I have a lot of storage under my bed the way it is now, and I really need the same amount of storage in the new one that I pick out.  I really hate my bed frame as it is.  It doesn't have a headboard, just a footer, and it's black - which doesn't go with any of the furniture in my room.  I just need something a little more me, but with the same basic functionality & space offered in the one I currently have.

I think I've been going about this bed frame situation the wrong way.  I've been viewing it as a cumbersome problem.  Things like picking out a comforter set or trying on jeans...they're not my favorite things to do, and I've been thinking about bed frames the same way.  I seem to be a bit of a perfectionist and in that, I find that I am rarely satisfied with things that "could work";instead, I keep searching for "the perfect thing".  I don't want to buy something that I'm only mildly loving, only to eventually dislike it later on and then have to buy something else.  It's wasting my time & money, in my opinion.

Moving on, I decided that I needed to start searching for the perfect bed frame.  If you all have any thoughts or opinions on the ones I like, please let me know.  I welcome your comments.  There are a few key details that I am sure on: 

• I don't want black
• It must have ample under-bed space

I found this one at 1907beds and I really like it.  It's the Shanghai model & it comes in brass or nickel, both of which would compliment my room.  

They have a huge selection of designer beds to choose from, but that model was my favorite.  I like that it looks vintage & delicate, like something you'd find in an antique shop.  Do you like it?  If so, which color would you pick?
