{Review} Shopbevel

My Dear Friends,

Today I want to talk about Shopbevel.  Founded by Courtney McColgan while attending Stanford Graduate School of Business, Shopbevel has has attracted 150,000+ votes, 30,000+ users, and 4,000+ designers --- all from 34 countries since it's launch in March.  That's an incredible achievement!

Shopbevel has been featured on Today Show, InStyle, People, Cosmopolitan, Redbook, and others. Shopbevel is venture-backed by Lightbank and Great Oaks (seed investors in Modcloth, Warby Parker, and Bonobos).
Shopbevel works with independent designers to bring to market the best in jewelry design. Designers submit designs to the site, the community votes and Shopbevel manufactures and sells selected winners - paying royalties back to the designers.  At Shopbevel, they believe every jewelry designer should have the opportunity to be discovered and they strive to create a community to make that possible.

Shopbevel works with an international community of jewelry designers from more than 34 countries.  If you're wondering who their designers are, they are creative professionals living all over the globe.  Some have design degrees, and some don't.  We have adults, teenagers, and children all participating on the site.  Some designers have full-time jobs in creative fields, and many are well-known quite apart from their success on Shopbevel.
Shopbevel.com is THE go-to place for shoppers looking for unique jewelry design and independent jewelry designers that may not have otherwise been able to bring their designs to a larger market.
Another interesting facet of the company is that product that sold on Shopbevel has been voted into production by our community.  Each item begins as a jewelry design submitted to our site by an independent designer, and ends as a piece of a Shopbevel collection manufactured by our production facilities.
I received a pair of gold elephant studs designed by J. Koppel of Berlin to review.  The design is a vintage style while also showing an animalistic nature.  The earrings are finely detailed; you can quite clearly see the lines in the trunk & forehead, the ivory tusks and eyes.  They're made of gold plated metal and are nickel free. The size dimensions are 3/4" across and 3/4" drop.

Shopbevel wants you to have the opportunity to shop their incredible site so they've graciously offered a 25% discount on everything in their store with code BBSTUDS.  The code expires on 7/31/13.  Use this code and shop around; get a taste of what beautiful jewelry that these independent artisans have to offer.  You won't be disappointed.
